Two prizes — each a $250 gift certificate at the College Bookstore — will be offered this year. The "People's Choice" winner will be selected via an online poll. The "Editors' Award" will be chosen by a panel of experts.

Anyone can enter. Images received through Oct. 15 will be eligible, and may be posted as Photo of the Day before then. Submissions are limited to one image per person.

Submissions must be related to the College, but potential subject matter is as wide as your imagination: a stunning photo from studying abroad, a family at Commencement, or a nostalgic shot of campus in days gone by.

2012 POD Contest Editor's Choice Winner

Last year’s Editors’ Choice award winner was Cam Nguyen ’13, who captured a sunrise yoga session atop Annapolis Rocks in Maryland during one of the College’s Ascent pre-Orientation trips for first-year students.

Send jpg attachments (the bigger the better, but at least 4-by-6 inches at 300 dpi) to POD@gettysburg.edu with caption information that identifies individuals (including class/parent year if applicable) and describes the event and location pictured. Winners will be announced at the end of the month.

Visit www.gettysburg.edu and click on Photo of the Day every day for the latest image, or browse the archive. Submissions must meet the regular guidelines for Photo of the Day.

In the online poll, votes will be strictly limited to one per email address. Repeat votes will not count.

Prizes are co-sponsored by the College Bookstore and the Office of Communications & Marketing.
