Sunderman Strings

Violin

Sunderman Strings is a chamber ensemble directed from the violin by Prof. Isaacman-Beck that performs some of the most exciting string chamber repertoire. In past semesters students analyzed, memorized and performed Beethoven’s String Quartets, Opus132 ad 135; Shostakovich’s Quartet No. 8, Wolf’s Serenade, Mendelssohn’s Octet, and Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro. Every member of the ensemble is encouraged to engage in all levels of score analysis, leadership, organization, presentation, recording, and grant writing in preparation for concerts, outreach activities, and tours.

Sunderman Strings meets Mondays 4:00 – 6:00 pm and Thursdays 6:00 – 7:00 pm.
