Ben is a practicing high school teacher in the Central York School District whose student-led advocacy work has gained national attention. He is the co-author of Ban This! How One School Fought Two Book Bans and Won, and has been featured in The New York Times and on CNN. In recognition of his leadership in equity, civic engagement, and student voice, he received the 2023 King Center Beloved Community Award.
