About the Donors
Mike Hobor ’69 and wife Nancy Hobor established the Chinese Carpenter’s Collection Bibliotecha Chinese Serendipity in 2008. Mike and Nancy both had careers in business and teaching. They frequently travel in Asia and Europe and collect contemporary Chinese ink and color paintings.
In addition to establishing this fund, Mike has donated many books, pamphlets and beautifully colored endpapers for bookmaking. Along with family members Andrew and Nancy Dewing, the Hobors provided funds for the Marion Lombardo Hobor Bookbindery and Paper Conservation Laboratory.
