About the Donors
The Gettysburg College Psychology Department established this fund in 1971 in honor of Kenneth L. Smoke, the department’s founder and long-time chair.
More Information
Smoke (1903-1970) taught philosophy at Gettysburg College from 1927-1929. He switched disciplines and taught psychology at Juniata College, then returned to Gettysburg in 1946, founding and chairing the Psychology Department until his death. He was married to Lillian Smoke, who served as College Librarian from 1959-1974.
