About the Donor
Laura McLean Stoever (1849-1926) established the fund in 1925 in memory of her husband, Gettysburg College graduate William C. Stoever (1850-1924).
More Information
William Casper Stoever was born in Gettysburg to Martin L. Stoever, Pennsylvania College Professor of History, and Elizabeth McConaughey. He graduated from the College in 1868 and became an eminent attorney. Laura and William married in 1874 and lived most of their lives in Philadelphia.
