Micro-Intern

Gettysburg College is collaborating with Parker Dewey which manages opportunities to help you gain valuable professional skills outside of a traditional internship experience. Extern

An externship is a unique opportunity that gives an insider's view into a career field, observe on-the-job activities and participate in hands-on learning experiences in the workplace. Shadow

Offered every January during winter break, job shadowing provides one-day experiences shadowing alumni or parent volunteers in the workplace as they go about their day's work. Have questions? Get your shadowing FAQs answered here.

Remote Project Experiences

Fully remote, skill-enhancing experiences (10, 20, or 40 hours in length) in which alumni or parents identify a project that a student could support under their guidance and career mentorship. This program is designed to offer flexibility and accessibility for both mentors and students during the summer break, while creating a mentored learning experience for students seeking to enhance their career-related skills.

Career Treks

Multi-day intensive career programs designed to explore and learn and about various career field. Typically held in January or May, these programs include: site visits to various companies, meetings with alumni and parents, case study presentations, and networking receptions with alumni, parents and friends of the College.
