Participants will meet with local NGOs, communityleaders, and faculty from Universidad EAFIT to learn how grassroots initiatives andmunicipal projects have changed public space, access, and opportunity. The group willexplore iconic examples of Medellín’s revitalization, such as the cable cars connecting hillside neighborhoods, the green corridors, and cultural centers that anchor communities. Participants will visit Comuna 13’s graffiti and arts movement, the Casade la Memoria museum, and community driven development projects that highlight Medellín’s ongoing challenges and successes. With more than 2.5 million people,Medellín offers a powerful example of innovation, inviting participants to consider how social urbanism might inspire efforts in cities around the world.
