Purpose:
The Accessibility Advisory Group is an all-campus working group whose goal is to create pro-actively a Gettysburg campus that is welcoming and accessible to all community members and visitors. The Group collaborates with, and advises, the Office of Diversity & Inclusion (D &I) and the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO), as well as other College Divisions and campus organizations. The Group monitors and advocates for improvements to the College’s policies and its physical and non-physical infrastructure; educates the campus community, so that accessibility considerations become innate to campus culture and embedded in all its planning and educational pursuits.
Membership is voluntary and open to all campus constituencies: faculty, students, administrators and support staff, with semester calls for new members. The full Group meets once a month, with possible additional subgroup meetings and their frequency to be established by members.
