The Class of 2024 Officers update students about the welcome back gathering, first-year walk, and class of 2024 advisory group.
Greetings Class of 2024!
I hope you enjoyed your summer and you’re looking forward to being back on campus! We are excited for our return to Gettysburg, and happy that we will be seeing one another soon. Today, we write to provide you with some updates since our previous class letter went out in mid-July.
Welcome Back Gathering
On Sunday, August 29, our class will be hosting a welcome back gathering with a barbeque, Rita’s Ice, and lawn games. The gathering will begin at 5 p.m. in the Atrium, with lawn games outside of the Atrium. It’s hard to imagine, but this will be the first time we will actually be all together in one place as one class! It will be a wonderful event!
Log into engageGettysburg or directly to the event to RSVP that you are coming! This will help Dining Services plan accordingly.
First-Year Walk
We are very excited to announce a date for our class’s First-Year Walk! The event will take place on Thursday, September 23, beginning with opening remarks in the Chapel. We will then walk through the center of town, retracing the footsteps of Gettysburg students in 1863 to hear President Lincoln’s iconic Address. We’re eager to participate in this special tradition!

Our current plan is to host events throughout the semester to continue to build connections within our class. You can also reach out to any of the officers directly with any ideas or questions.
