About Transportation Services
Transportation Services is located in the Central Energy Plant on Constitution Avenue. It provides members of Gettysburg College with transportation for activities related to academics, administration, college sponsored student activities, cultural events, and campus visits. In addition, Transportation Services provides students and parents with transportation to and from mass transit locations.
The Transportation Services Office requires that all requests for services be made as far ahead of time as possible. Requests MUST be made no less than 3 business days (not including weekends) before departures and/or arrivals. All transportation requests for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday MUST be made by Tuesday of that week. Transportation requests made after the 3 business days deadline will be charged the full price of $55.00 each way to BWI, BWI Amtrak, Shady Grove, and the Harrisburg airport, bus and train station. The charge for Dulles will be $70.00 each way. Requests made after the deadline may not be able to be accommodated.
No refunds for trips cancelled less than 24 hours prior to a scheduled trip.
Due to increased security at all airports, plan to arrive at airports at least 1.5 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights. Transportation Services will not be responsible for missed flights, trains or buses.

Use the online registration service to reserve your shuttle.
- Sign up for and pay for shuttles to mass-transit locations online.
- Students can pay for their shuttle by securely transferring money from their checking account or by using credit and debit cards (VISA, MASTERCARD and DISCOVER only).

The College offers rentals (and, if needed, drivers) for student activities, cultural events, campus visits, or College business. All vehicles are rented on a daily basis and will not be pro-rated for partial-day usage.
Requested time for a vehicle is the time scheduled. Should you change times at the last minute, we cannot guarantee that a vehicle will be available.
It is important, too, that you return all vehicles on time. Our fleet is limited and vehicles need to be cleaned and readied for the next renter.
