Sheila Mulligan is recipient of a 2002 National Endowment for the Arts fellowship in fiction and of a Whiting Foundation grant. She teaches creative writing and first-year composition at Gettysburg College, where she was named 2007 Outstanding Professor in English by the student Greek organizations. Her fiction has appeared in The Gettysburg Review, New England Review, Shenandoah, New Orleans Review, Hawaii Review, and others. She was awarded a Whiting Foundation grant-in-aid in 2000. She is an adoptive and former foster mother of three teenage daughters.
