Emma Erkkilä
Emma is a junior at Bates College, studying Politics and minoring in History. She is half American, half Finnish and was born in Helsinki, Finland. This spring she is participating in the American University's Washington Semester Program, taking classes on international politics. After finishing high school, Emma voluntarily joined the Finnish National Defense Force, serving as a medic for 9 months. Since leaving the military, she has had a multitude of jobs ranging from restaurants to her college's dispatch team. Emma is also part of the Outing Club, Soccer Club and the Theatre Club. She enjoys skiing, hanging out with friends, and listening to indie music.
