Jake Ecke is a legislative aide for United States Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT). In his role, Jake meets with constituents and advocacy groups to learn about the issues important to Connecticut citizens and advises the Senator on legislative actions that will advance those priorities. His legislative portfolio includes areas such as gun violence prevention, the judiciary, labor, appropriations and budget, taxes, and government reform.
Born and raised in Connecticut, he has worked for his home state senator for two years. At Gettysburg, Jake was Chair of the College Democrats and was actively involved with the Adams County Democratic Committee. He graduated with a BA in Political Science in 2018.
