Apply for an EI Program

2026 Programs Banner

Applications are now open!

Gettysburg College students are eligible to participate in Eisenhower Institute programs beginning their second semester of their first year. Some programs only accept certain class years; read each program description carefully to determine if you qualify. There is no fee for participating in Eisenhower Institute programs. Students are expected to be on-campus for the duration of the program they are participating in; virtual attendance is not permitted unless it is explicitly built into the program's design. You are welcome to apply to more than one program during the application period; we will ask you to rank them in order of preference.

Before You Apply

1. Students must attend an information/orientation session to apply for Eisenhower Institute programs if they are not currently participating in an EI program.

2. Read our FAQ, participation agreement, AI policy, and application guide for key information and helpful advice.

3. Review the program description, schedule, and application before you apply. Experts create schedules months in advance. Students are responsible for attending all sessions, trips, and activities.

Info Sessions

Applicants must attend an info session before applying. This year, we will have three in-person info sessions: two general sessions, covering all upcoming programs, and one info session specifically for rising juniors and seniors who are applying for the Washington Summer Fellowship. Virtual options will be recorded for Gettysburg students abroad and will be uploaded by October 24.

Students currently participating in an Eisenhower Institute program do not have to attend an info session, but it is highly recommended.

General Info Sessions

  • Wednesday, October 22 | 4-5pm | Joseph Theater | RSVP Here
  • Tuesday, October 28 | 6-7pm | Joseph Theater | RSVP Here

Washington Summer Fellowship Info Session

  • Thursday, October 23 | 12:30-1:30pm | CUB 208 | RSVP Here

For students unable to attend an in-person info session, below you will find links to virtual recordings. Please note that all students applying for the Washington Summer Fellowship must watch the Washington Summer Fellowship recording. Applicants for all spring programs can watch the General Info Session recording. Attendance is tracked.
