Eligibility Requirements: 2.5 GPA; Previous college-level coursework or significant preparation in health sciences, political science, anthropology, sociology, or development studies. Three recent semesters of college-level Spanish and ability to follow coursework in Spanish
Full-time Course Load: 16 credits
Program Dates: Late August to mid-December or early March to mid-June.
Mandatory Coursework: Epidemiology and Social Determinants of Health (3 credits), Health Systems, Policies, and Programs (3 credits), Spanish for the Health Sciences (3 credits), Research Methods and Ethics (3 credits), and Independent Study Project OR Internship (4 credits).
Gettysburg Pre-requisites: Spanish majors/minors or students intending to major or minor in Spanish must have completed Spanish 301; All students must meet with the program representative in the Spanish Department, Professor Alvaro Kaempfer, prior to applying.
