Students who plan a career teaching primary or secondary school biology should complete the Education Program. The program includes additional coursework beyond the requirements for the Biology major so that students will meet teacher-certification requirements mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Interested students should read the Handbook for Teacher Education published by Gettysburg’s Education Department or visit the department’s website for more information. Students also should meet with their advisor and a member of the Education Department to plan their program.
