Students also have expenses for books, supplies, transportation, and personal items. While the costs will vary from student to student, the figures below will give you an estimate of what to expect. The College uses these amounts when determining a student’s eligibility for financial aid.
- Books and supplies: $1,000
- Transportation: $1,500
- Personal and miscellaneous expenses: $1,210
Students should contact the Office of Financial Aid to request a review of their budget if actual expenses are significantly different from the costs listed above. Child care expenses, computer purchases, disability related expenses, etc. can be taken into consideration.
Determining your costs
You can use Gettysburg’s Cost and Resources Worksheet (2021-22) (appropriate for first-year students for 2021-22) and Online Cost Calculator, including housing and meal-plan options for continuing students, as a tool to determine your individual 2021-22 academic year costs.
Prospective students can use Gettysburg’s Net Price Calculator for an estimate of need-based financial aid.
