Roy Fairman

Roy Fairman is the Managing Partner of the Fairman Group Family Office. The firm provides a full range of wealth management and tax advisory services to high net worth individuals and families. The firm was founded in 2002 and currently has in excess of 400 clients.

In 1968 he graduated from Gettysburg College with a major in Biology. As a Distinguished Military Graduate of the U.S. Army ROTC program, upon graduation he received a Regular Army Commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. He attended Ranger School and Airborne School and spent two years in the Republic of Korea. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and Army Commendation Medals. He resigned his commission in 1971 to attend the Wharton Graduate School, receiving an MBA in 1973 with a major in Management and minors in Finance and Accounting.

In 1973 Mr. Fairman joined the firm of Arthur Andersen & Co., becoming a Partner in 1984. He was a tax specialist and was in charge of the Philadelphia Tax Practice from 1992 through 2001. Upon retirement from the firm in 2002 he founded the Fairman Group Family Office.

He has served on the Board of Fellows of Gettysburg College and the Board of Trustees of the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, as well as the boards of several other not-for-profit organizations. He is a member of the AICPA and PICPA.

Mr. Fairman lives in Villanova, Pa., with his wife Nancy. They have two children and five grandchildren.
