Ryan Kerney is a Biologist and educator. His research focuses on biological diversity, developmental biology, and microbial interactions. His policy interests span science policy, environmental policy and education. He is the program director for Advancing Science, which offers free lesson plans, mobile educators, and expertise to regional K-12 schools as part of the Science in Motion Consortium.
Professor Kerney is a former American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science and Technology Policy Fellow (STPF) and remains active with the network through their Career Expo, Affinity Groups, and Fellows Central.
Professor Kerney also advocates for basic research funding through the American Institute for Biological Sciencesand for policy-based climate solutions through the Citizens Climate Lobby.
