I appreciate both how exciting and challenging the college years can be and enjoy supporting young adults on that journey. I strive to provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where we identify goals together and use a combination of heart and science to address the challenges that stand in your way.
My approach to treatment is strengths focused with an emphasis on trauma-informed care. I use a holistic approach that is informed by my training in gender affirming and anti-racist practices. I rely heavily on the most up-to-date research and evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). I am also a trained EMDR therapist.
My areas of special interest include: Life transitions, anxiety (including panic disorders), depression, ASD, non-suicidal self injury, trauma, relationship issues, gender & sexuality.
When I'm not working with students, I enjoy dinners & movie nights with my family, time with my dogs, planning my next beach getaway or listening to a true crime podcast.
