I earned my doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While I am trained primarily in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), I am eclectic in my approach in working with clients and use a client-centered, strengths based approach to determine what works best for each individual I work with. I have also developed a keen interest in working with clients with each individual’s cultural identity in mind. I especially enjoy working with International students and helping them navigate the complexities involved in adjusting to the American culture. In treatment, my main areas of focus are on mood disorders, development of self-esteem and coping skills to deal with life stressors, managing grief and loss, and addressing academic concerns. I also have experience in working with individuals with chronic mental health diagnoses and resulting behavioral issues related to these mental health concerns.

In my spare time, I enjoy binge watching TV shows, hanging out with friends and drinking good cups of coffee, baking, and people watching at airports (while on my way to my motherland-Kenya!).
