Reunion Committee Volunteers

About

Reunion committee volunteers promotes reunion and bring former students back to the university to interact with one another.

Description

The Reunion Committee leads efforts to encourage as many classmates as possible to return to Gettysburg for Reunion Weekend, May 30- June 2, 2024, where they will help with planning some social aspects of reunion celebration, and help raise a special Gettysburg Fund Class Gift in honor of the reunion.

Regional Alumni Clubs

About

Gettysburgians throughout the world stay connected to each other and the College by getting involved in one of our regional alumni clubs

Description

The clubs host speakers, organize volunteer efforts, offer career networking programs, and sponsor a variety of social and cultural activities that bring alumni, parents, and friends from the region together. Hartford Alumni Club Book Prize

About

The Gettysburg College Book Prize seeks to foster and reward excellence in the study of American History.

Description

This volunteer experience invites Alumni to sponsor the Annual Gettysburg College Book Prize at one or more Connecticut high school(s), to award this to a junior who has an interest in American history. This prize helps foster the study of American History and, in particular, the study of Abraham Lincoln and the civil war era.

Class Correspondent

About

The class correspondent acts as a communication liaison between the college and alumni relations.

Description

Volunteers write two columns per year about their classmates for the Alumni Magazine.This program keeps Alumni informed about their classmates, and it is considered a very popular section of the Alumni magazine. This is also a rewarding and fun way to keep up with your classmates.

Gettysburg Alumni of Color Council

About

The Gettysburg Alumni of Color Council effectively partners with the College to maximize the success of current and future alumni.

Description

The Gettysburg Alumni of Color Council (GACC) is a dynamic affinity group created to foster, maintain, and support current and future alumni that identify as alumni of color and/or members of an underrepresented or minority racial or ethnic group. The Gettysburg Alumni of Color Council effectively partners with the College to maximize the success of current and future alumni. Guided by the core principles of philanthropy, engagement, communication, and equitable advancement, the Council strives to create and support programs that foster campus traditions and inspire a passion for the life-long involvement with the College

BOLD Council

About

The BOLD council plans events specifically designed to meet the needs of young alumni. 

Description

The BOLD (Burgians of the Last Decade) Council provides guidance and direction to the young alumni program and works to enhance the connection between the College and our alumni of the last decade. They provide regional networking and social events, career services, and opportunities to stay involved with the College through philanthropy and volunteer activity.
