COVID Dashboard Update for May 14

Message sent on May 14, 2021

Jeff Foster and Darrien Davenport update the community about end of semester reminders, employee testing, and summer mask guidance.

Dear Campus Community,

Student testing for the Spring 2021 semester concluded earlier this week. Employees who have been testing weekly and twice-per month will be tested next week to conclude employee testing. Today will be the final COVID-19 dashboard update for the Spring 2021 semester.

The College continues to operate at a moderate alert level. Based on a number of current conditions, including the campus positivity rate and local conditions, the College could change the alert level or enact increased mitigation strategies. The campus community will be notified immediately if the alert level changes and/or if new mitigation strategies have been enacted.

Reminders and updates:

  • End of Semester Reminders: Information was sent last week about end of semester student testing, residence halls closing, leaving campus, and late departures. Read more here.
  • Employee Testing: Employee testing will conclude on May 21.
  • Summer Masking Guidance: An email was sent earlier today that provided updated guidance for masking on campus beginning Tuesday, May 18.

Thank you for your help in making this semester a success, and a special congratulations to the Class of 2021! Have a wonderful summer!
