Why I chose Gettysburg: My senior year of high school, I connected with a Gettysburg senior. She participated in many of the things I was interested in. After seeing how she took advantage of the many opportunities at Gettysburg and the community of people who supported her in those opportunities, I knew Gettysburg was the school for me.

Favorite Gettysburg tradition: I love the annual Servo Thanksgiving. Students will line up outside of the dining hall for hours. Once inside, you are greeted by the faculty, staff, and their families serving you a full multi-course Thanksgiving meal! It's a great way to celebrate with your Gettysburg family before the Thanksgiving break.

Majors: Economics and Public Policy

Minors: Political Science and Peace & Justice Studies

Favorite campus tradition: Convocation—not only is it such a welcoming experience to see all the new first-years sitting on the lawn of Penn Hall for the ceremony, but getting to walk up the steps of Penn Hall and through to the other side to be greeted by the Professors lining the sidewalks made me realize just how tight-knit of a community Gettysburg is. The whole campus was there to welcome all the new students and it certainly made me feel like I had made the right decision.

Favorite Class Experience: "Human Rights in the Caribbean" with Prof. Hakim Williams showed me how to think critically about social change and human rights, and how to better achieve those goals in my life today. Through the context of the classroom, Prof. Williams challenged the class to show us our potential to further beneficial global change in a time where it is needed more than ever.

Why I chose Gettysburg: Gettysburg was the only school I didn’t have to convince myself that I loved. I interviewed with my admissions counselor and she was genuinely interested in learning more about me as a student, about my interests beyond the classroom, and how I could reach my goals at Gettysburg. From our conversation, I could tell that the Gettysburg community was passionate and engaged inside and outside of the classroom. During my second tour, I fell in love with Gettysburg and decided on the spot that I would become a member of the Class of 2021!
