We recognize that this year’s Orientation experience will be different for our incoming students, and have prepared a special welcome for the Class of 2024 from the Gettysburg College community.
Welcome program
On Sunday, August 16, 2020, four in-person showings of our Welcome Video Premiere are scheduled between 8–11 pm on the lawn behind Stevens Hall. The program includes:
- Opening Message from President Bob Iuliano
- Remarks from Peace and Justice Studies Director and Africana Studies Professor Hakim Mohandas Amani Williams
- Community welcome from fellow Gettysburg students
Physical distancing requirements will remain in effect. Your Resident Assistant (RA) or Orientation Leader (OL) will advise which showing your group should attend. One showing will also be available for remote viewing on Facebook and YouTube at 8:15 p.m.
