Room Reservations for Recitals and Rehearsals

Availability of the Recital Hall may affect the time and day choices recitalists have with regard to their recital hearing and dress rehearsal(s). All reservations should be completed by the end of the second week of classes in the semester during which the recital will occur.

Recital Hearings

Students are responsible for reserving the Recital Hall for their recital hearing using the 25Live Reservation guidelines.

Dress Rehearsals

Senior/degree recitalists are allocated one 2-hour session in the Recital Hall for dress rehearsal.

Senior/degree piano recitalists are allocated two 2-hour sessions in the Recital Hall for dress rehearsals.

Junior/honors recitalists are allocated one 1-hour session in the Recital Hall for dress rehearsal.

Students are responsible for reserving the Recital Hall for dress rehearsal on their desired date and time, using the 25Live reservation guidelines.

Recitals and Receptions

Room 210 is automatically reserved for performers 30 minutes prior to all senior/degree recitals. This is the only room recitalists are allowed to use without additional reservations.

If additional preparation time is needed, or if additional rooms are needed before, during or after the recital, the student is responsible for reserving all additional rooms on their desired date and time, using the 25Live reservation guidelines.

Please note that the Paul Recital Hall lobby (Schmucker Hall 2nd floor) must be reserved for any receptions, using the 25Live reservations guidelines. See the recital preparation checklist for more information.
