Economics team captures second place at Gill/McDaniel College Finance Case Competition

On October 21, 2013, five students of the Gettysburg College Economics department attended the third annual Gill/McDaniel College Finance Case Competition held in the Decker Center Forum at McDaniel College.  Teams consisted of economics, business, and accounting majors from Gettysburg College, McDaniel College, Towson University, Morgan State University, Juniata College, Elizabethtown College, and Penn State Mont Alto.

Alex Freeman ‘14, Matt Novak ‘14, PJ Galvin ‘14, Seth Katz ‘13, and Joe Orsini ’15 represented the Gettysburg College team.  The team members had to compete by presenting their solution to a finance case.  Presentations were limited to 15 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of questions and answers.   A panel of judges served as a mock Board of Directors and decided the winners.

The Gettysburg College team came in second place, winning $300.  Congratulations to the team!
